About Us
Heswall Disabled Children’s Holiday Fund have been hosting free holidays for disabled children since 1962
Every year we host two camps for up to 30 children aged 9-15 at each camp. At our camp the children benefit from the independence it offers them. For many, this is the only time they spend away from home all year.
Each camp is attended by around 30 children & 30 volunteer helpers, as we try to aim for a one-to-one ratio of children to helpers. The programme for each camp includes both on-site activities as well as day trips out, including to the zoo, theme parks and local areas like Blackpool or Weston-Super-Mare. Our on-site activities cater for everyone's interests, with activities from pottery painting to wheelchair rugby to music and acting.

How Can You Help?
To run each camp we need to raise over £35,000 each year, for which we rely upon the generosity of donations from industry, charitable organisations and individuals.

Become a Volunteer
Without Volunteers we can't run our camps to make sure disabled children aged 9-15 years and families of children with disabilities are able to enjoy a happier life - it's great fun for the adults too!
